How appropriate that I am sending this email to you today… this is almost too coincidentally comical. As I am writing you… I just realized that today is February 2, 2022 which means that today is of all days… Groundhog Day. So here is the bizarre coincidence… and this is kind of funny.

I normally take a walk almost every morning since I spend the remainder of the day painting and doing administrative work for my art business KamilaKowalke.com. However, yesterday instead of walking first, I began painting. The next thing I knew… it was almost evening as I got lost in my canvases, brushes and paints and yet I still decided to take my walk.

When I returned home a few hours later, I was exhausted and just wanted to veg out on the couch and watch a movie, which I rarely do. So I went to my old school DVD shelf and looked for something that could bring me some comfort and familiarity. And that movie happened to be one of the great classics… Groundhog Day… having no idea obviously that tomorrow was going to be Groundhog Day.

Now, one of the reasons that this movie is a favorite of mine is simply the fact that we can take any dull, old boring, same old routine day and find a way to morph that monotony into something interesting.

Take for example what we are all seemingly going through every day 24/7 for the past couple of years. Covid… vaccine mandates… mask mandates… social distancing… uncertainty… political division… Conservative news media going crazy… Liberal news media going crazy… all of us seemingly going crazy… you get the idea.

And yet despite these challenges that we have all been dealing with I say with great conviction knowing you that you were able to find a way out of this Groundhog Day and make it a great new day. There is a diamond in the rough in all of us… and if Groundhog Day doesn’t resonate with you… then being lucky is just as good. Today is 2/2/22 which means today is your lucky day. Deuces are wild.
